If you are able, walking is one of the best exercises you can do. Moving many muscles in your body simultaneously, your heart, lungs, arms, legs, hips and back. Walking can be an all-in-one way to help sustain your health and feel great.

If you find you are unable to walk for long periods of time, balance or support yourself with a steady weighted object such as a chair or table and lift your legs, one at a time. The idea is to start slow and steady and not to overexert yourself.

What if you are wheel chair or bed bound and simply can not move your legs? There is great news for you! According to Scientific American, visualizing in your mind that you are walking is just as important as actually doing it. Whether you're actually able to physically reproduce the thought or not. FREE.

If you are willing, able and ready, join us in our walking club at https://worldwalking.org/groups/kj925 . Just register and use any pedometer and log in your steps! It's that easy! Sometimes we'll go live from our Facebook page to clock-in steps. Feel free to follow us and join in!
